So should I upgrade from WMQI 2.1 to this WBI 5? (It's basically the same product, but with some new additions and fixes, is it?)

Can someone give a screenshot?

Lung,
You can download the preview version from following location,
http://www-3.ibm.com/software/integration/websphere/betas/wsmqbrokers_toolkit.html

Can I ask where I can get v5 from, It doesn't seem to be listed on passport advantage.

It's available on Passport Advantage if Passport Advantage thinks you are entitled to it. I got it from PA. I think it's listed as an MQSeries product rather than a Websphere Product.

Talk to your IBM Sales Representative, or PA support to get access to all your entitled products.

Thanks, Kiran! Downloading now...

Anyway, can someone tell me whether message designing is better with this new version... Eg. the ISO8583 and SWIFT messages? (previously I need to use custom plug-in nodes... )

finally found some time to do some first steps...
got the getting started sample running, I must say after working with MQ integrator 1.0, 1.1, MQSI 2.0, 2.0.1, 2.0.2, 2.1 and now V5 IBM has done a great job at making this product more usable from the start (ok ok you have to get the CSD first but that is almost tradition...)
I still have to get used to the eclipse stuff and my screen res 1024x768 seems a bit to low to view everything.... loved the configuration wizard which creates anything you need to get your first broker running, no more DB2 CREATE, DB2 ODBC catalog, mqsicreate this and that, create qmgr for beginners just follow the 4 steps and click 'perform'

Anyone else playing around already and wants to share his/her experience?

I wouldn't recommend using the preview version if you have a license for the 2.1 version. The reason is that there is no upgrade/migration from the preview v5 version to the full v5 version - and if you have a license for 2.1, you should be able to get the full v5 version from IBM.

But I can't help you on getting the preview version through straight FTP.

I guess it depends on your Agreement with IBM. If your agreement says that they will keep you at the latest release then you will get the new software automatically. (This is what our support person told me.)
Now, I may be wrong about this, as I don't deal with ordering the software at my company!

That's correct, it does.

I kind of assume that anyone willing to pay for the cost of WMQI in the first place would be willing to pay for the maintenance and support of it as well. But that may be optimistic of me.
