So here is an equivalent and a gallicism:
How long will it take for the canon to cool down? _________________ MQ & Broker admin |

Picky or just a desire to be precise. Language is important. Particularly in the arena of integration. Can I assume your Canon in the input message is my Cannon in the output message. I think not......
Cannon...a mounted gun for firing heavy projectiles; a gun, howitzer, or mortar.
Canon....an ecclesiastical rule or law enacted by a council or other competent authority and, in the Roman Catholic Church, approved by the pope.
Language is the major reason integration projects flounder. Not technology. _________________ Never let the facts get in the way of a good theory. |

You are being literal, fatherjack. I was basking in the malaprop or spoonerism or typographical error that I found amusing.
I believe that many would agree that politicians are suffering from a melting canon of ethics. _________________ I like deadlines. I like to wave as they pass by.

I'm sure Id agree if I knew what on earth you were on about.
But I just thought, given the posting, it was an opportune moment to highlight my main issue with integration projects i.e. semantics.
Maybe I should start a new thread - 'Whats the single most important factor for the successful delivery of integration projects?' _________________ Never let the facts get in the way of a good theory. |

What do various marine flatfishes of the families Bothidae and Pleuronectidae have to do with integration projects?? _________________ I like deadlines. I like to wave as they pass by.

I believe that cannon shot has long left and by now it should be safe to touch that barrel metal again....
@fatherjack Thanks for the correction. I'll make sure to notify the most Holy Office of the Inquisition of your eagerness to perform your duties. I'm sure they'll be the final authority on Canon Law... _________________ MQ & Broker admin |

That's almost as messed up as "Do the needful" or "Don't throw your monkey at me" |
