Location: US: west coast, almost. Otherwise, enroute.
Having to RESET your channel is a symptom, namely: qmgrs at both ends are unsure if all messages have been successfully sent.

The underlying problem may be lost messages. While doing a RESET appears to be a good technnical solution, it is a bad business solution.

Did the channel successfully send the messages?
