So these messages appear to show that your input message is invalid.

Therefore, I think the best thing to do is put a network monitor between your client and the broker to make sure that the message is correct when it is on the wire. You can use the TCPMonitor in the toolkit (with 6.1) or some other tool such as nettool to do this. Once you have do this, can you post the captured message here...
