Message Transfer. The file transfer thing is a secondary function.

You might want to cast your eyes across some of the documentation, which deals with these questions.

As to amqsbcg, it does what the source code says it does.

Hi.

Thanks again for your answers ^_^.

I just understand why the company where I am whant to use MQseries. It is just for have a unsychronized file transfer .

Hum, and about yesterday, I know now that I have to get the message ID and the correl ID. It seems that these two parameters contains the name and the extention of the file source, and I just have to do a little convertion to obtain them.

And so, I arrive to my question : yesterday you tell me about a MQRMLH structure. Do you know how I can use it to extract the MSG ID and the CORREL ID.

Thank you in advance.

edit : i thought i was wrong. It is the MQMD structurre which contains the MSGID.

And it woooooooorks
YYYYYYYEeeeeeaaaaahhhhh! ^_^ (i didn't sleep welle tonight because of that)

If you "know" that the message ID and correl ID have the name and extension of the file you're after, and you just need to "convert" them, this is a propriatory thing that your sender app is doing. It's not standard MQ, I doubt anyone here would recommend it and you're on your own with it.

As to the MQRMLH structure, that's a red herring. I thought you were doing something with reference messages, it appears that you're not, I apologise for mentioning it when it was not relevant. Both MSGID and CORRELID are in the MQMD and you would have seen them in the bcg display. They don't need to be extracted as they're discrete fields.

You'll find them documented in the Application Programing Reference manual - RTFM!

(Along with a couple of others if your MQ knowledge of MQ is at a such an initial stage you have to ask where the ID fields are......)

Hello,

What kind of programs you are using for MQPut and MQGet.?

If you are using any C programs or some Java programs for getting or putting, you can add "Application Identity token" as part of the MQ Header when sending application sends the message.

On the receving side, when you get the message, get the Application Identity first and create the file with that name and add the message to that file.
