Well when you are in that area, I would strongly advice to go for Flammkuchen (my dict says the english word is Tarte Flambee). I've been in Strasbourg the other day for a one day trip. You might want to visit that as well. Quiet nice to walk a bit arround and have a guided boat trip on the river.
Apparently Heidelberg is quiet nice.
And a secret tip:

My home area. I sent some of my indian colleagues there. They loved it.
And so many more things to see in Germany.
For you the same as for everybody else... If you arrive in Frankfurt and can squeeze it in, I organize a nice range of different beers.
We could even go to my favourite Schnizel place

check out the pictures... They serve on Pizza plates.
They also serve something they call bembel des todes (bembel of death), which is a 8 liter carafe, full with Bacardi Cola. That's what I call supersized
I originally planed to visit the US or Canada in autumn, but management-decisions changed my plans. Well, maybe next year then. |

Sorry the flight is to Freiburg via Paris... Gotta use some of those Frequent Flyer miles....
But if I'm planning a trip up to Frankfurt I'll sure let you know...
As for the Tourism I'm more familiar with the Vosges than the Black Forest even though I have driven through it East and West as well as S to N.
It is indeed a beautiful area...

To Freiburg? I don't think a plane that is bigger then a Chessna could land there...
Freiburg is 70km from my hometown. A realy nice place... |

Freiburg's commercial airport code is EAP !!!
And planes are definitely bigger than a Cessna or Beechcraft 20...
You may remember the little tourism airport am Blauen....
Welcome to the new times. |

Ahhh, the Euro Airport.
Located close to Basel. Freiburg Basel and Mulhouse are sharing the airport. Completely forgot about this one. |

How could you forget as you are sporting the French Icon of Obelix ???
Should we fetch chief Abrasraccourcix ??
Or separate you for a little while from your beloved pet Ideefix ?
Or leave you in the competent hands of the new bard Disharmonix ?

Just give me a a portion of the magic elexier (Zaubertrank) and I will function again
Never forget, it were Asterix and Obelix discovering America originally |
