Hi,

I understand what you are saying regarding TRY / CATCH and CAST without exceptions, but all I can say is we hear you.

Regarding Decimal and NAN. A Decimal can have the value NAN (or INF etc) as a result of an operation on it, which is why you may wish to test it for NAN (or INF etc)
