I observed the last saved Unit of Work id’s and they seem to different on the sender side and receiver side, which clearly explains the transactions were not committed. Looked at the AMQERR01.LOG file at “/var/mqm/qmgrs/QM/errors” directory and it says something like this “The channel has closed because the remote q manager cannot receive a message and the error log at the remote site will explain the reason”. |
You will have to contact the Administrator of the Remote MQManager to find out what is in his/her logs.

It also says “The log space for the QMGR is becoming full. One or more long running transactions have been rolled back to release log space so that qmgr can continue processing the requests”
"Try to ensure the duration of your transactions is not excessive. Consider increasing the size of the log to allow transactions to last longer before the log starts to become full" |
This second error you posted is pretty much self explanitory. You probably need to do one of two things, either increase the number of logs you have defined in /var/mqm/log/QMGR/active or the size.
You can increase the number of logs by editing you /var/mqm/qmgrs/QMGR/qm.ini file LogPrimaryFiles and LogSecondaryFiles stanza's. Then stop and restart the MQManager but to increase the sized of your logs the MQManager will have to be deleted and re-created.
Before you take any action on this please see what the WMQ Systems Administration Guide has to say about logs and search this site for topics regarding logs. |

Initially, this sounded as if it would help me with a problem I am experiencing. Boy, I need a nap...
