Hi I am running zLinux and on one qmgr when

I run runmqsc I am getting a segmentation fault when I run display channel(*).

MQ seems to be working otherwise, I can get and put messages, channels are running, etc.

Just runmqsc seems to be hosed.

Any Ideas? _________________ Patrick Goodhart

				| Do you have enough authority on the QMGR to issue runmqsc commands? |

I am running runmqsc as MQM or a user with mqm authority.

I am not getting any FDC's now, but I still get the fault.

We had an issue where somehow the filesystem got full, and I was getting FDC's for that, but that problem was resolved, and now no FDCs and we are still getting a segmentation fault when I try to display channel(*) or display channel(some.channel) on one of the two queue managers on the server. This is really weird. No errors in the logs (queue manager or mq). No FDCs, no core dump, just "segmentation fault" and runmqsc terminates. _________________ Patrick Goodhart

What kind of file system are you using?

What kind of mount is it for /var/mqm? |

I am not sure of all of this so be patient:

the type is ext3

This is all on zLinux SuSe kernel.

I did open a ticket with IBM.

2nd level tech:

"I've never seen this before...."

"Damn, this is weird..."

"Are you sure there isn't an FDC?" _________________ Patrick Goodhart

Most recently IBM has asked us to reinstall the product. That's not good, but not the end of the world either.

Deleting/Creating QMGR seems to be broke as well. I think this install is just plain sick. _________________ Patrick Goodhart

I just installed MQ on zLinux as well. Can you tell me what versions you are at? Suse? MQ? _________________ Regards,
