				Folks,

Is there a minimum message size for WMQ?

The underneth ethernet packet has a minimum size like 64 bytes or 512 bytes (from 10Mbps to Gigafast network), I'm just wondering would WMQ also set a minimum message size? In the case of a small size message, like 16 bytes, would WMQ pad it up to ethernet packet minimum size, in addition to WMQ's header and other overhead?

Any comments are highly appreciated.

There is a minimum size greater then, since MQ automatically appends some header information. I know it is documented in the manuals. _________________ Patrick Goodhart

I can't seem to find it at the moment, but your 512K is in the right ballpark. It may be larger but I am sure it isn't smaller.

If I come across it I'll let you know. _________________ Patrick Goodhart
