				| Hi,
We have sucessfully implemented Queue Sharing using two queue managers running on two different z/OS LPARs.

I have a question on the functionality of shared outbound channels.

If a channel attempts to start on QMGRA and does not connect sucessfully, but goes into retry, will it at any time try to start on QMGRB?

I was of the understanding that it would, and I have noticed that we have a couple of channels that are retrying, but only retry on the one queue manager.

Any help or info on this would be great.

 Thanks

I was of the understanding it would NOT.

I thought the channel retry was a sender channel, so it won't start on another qmgr. Check the channel parameters and the AMQERR01.LOG for error messages. Then check out the Intercommunication Guide
