Is there a way to turn audit on on WebSphere MQ?

I would like to see what application or user access MQ Objects and when.

I don't think MQ provides any command to see which applications are accessing MQ objects at a given time. But you can write an API exit to set up audit trails. _________________ Kiran

I am also looking for way for knowing who and when configured a Qmanager and its objects.

I have used the MQ Administration Wrapper (Support Pac MS0E), but I am not quite satisfied because it records the complete session, which makes the log to grow a lot quickly, besides it does not cover PCF calls for remote connections.

I don't quite understand the option of the API exit, where would it be installed?

Does anyone have installed this kind of solution yet?

Regards,

				| If you have a subscription to Xephon's MQ Update magazine, take a look at the November 2003 issue. Includes an API Exit for writing an audit trail of what goes through the command server. |
