				Hi

I am tring to execute the following statement in WMQI database node

PASSTHRU('INSERT INTO STORAGE(

ID,XML)

VALUES (?,?)'  , id ,BITSTREAM("Body"));

here is my table definition

 ID                          NOT NULL NUMBER(10)

 XML                                           CLOB

I am using WMQI Integration Broker v 2.1 CSD 5

Database Oracle 8.1

While executing this statement I get following error

DatabaseException  BIP2322E: Database error: SQL State 'HY104';

Native Error Code '0'; Error Text '[MERANT][ODBC Oracle 8 driver]Invalid precision value. Error in parameter 2.'.

The size od the XML message is around 8K

Please Advice |

				First off, you should be using ASBITSTREAM instead of BITSTREAM. ASBITSTREAM is documented in the readme file.

Secondly, if you're inserting into a CLOB, you should probably be casting the result of ASBITSTREAM into a CHARACTER type instead of trying to insert a BLOB type. _________________ I am *not* the model of the modern major general. |
