Hello.
I am looking to purchase a license for the IBM MQ series. The requirement is to use MQSeries or WebsphereMQ v7.0 for a project, and 140 units are needed (1x cpu Xeon core, for two virtual machines). I am aiming to keep the purchase economic.
Q1. Does anyone know from experience, or hear-say, if the PVC-perpetual license is transferable?
Q2. If the PVC-perpetual license is transferable: where could I try to find someone willing to resell a PVC-perpetual license?
Regards.
PS. Reply to the topic or PM if you are able to help. I am open to contractual help. I will need a transfer certificate and i will bear the certification cost. |

Why do you want to use out of support versions of MQ? Suggest you plan to use IBM MQ V9.4.
You should talk to IBM about the intricacies of licensing.

Thank you.
Yesterday, I started a licensing dialogue with IBM, directly and via a partner. A transfer of license, from an organization that wants to liquidate its license property, might come cheaper, or so I imagine. |

I'd check with IBM licensing and your lawyer. I'd be surprised if the license (to use) is transferable in this manner. _________________ I like deadlines. I like to wave as they pass by.

Thank you. I am awaiting response from the IBM sales contact and a sales partner contact. |

Confirmed via a channel partner. The license is transferable, via IBM E-Care.
I am open for getting a transfer, from anyone who wants to liquidate his license asset. |

Please close the thread.
The transfer of license is only possible if the business entity were to change ownership, amalgamated etc. |

I'll leave the thread open, as others may find it useful. _________________ I like deadlines. I like to wave as they pass by.
