TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Extensive technical knowledge of Websphere MQ with a minimum of 5 years experience in building, configuring & tuning MQ in an IBM Mainframe environment.
The scope of this job role includes:
• Providing performance support services to clients on hardware and software components within Mainframe and Midrange systems.
• Activities include operation and maintenance of operating systems across multiple platforms and middleware applications
• Support is also provided for systems management tools which monitor the operational status of the environment.
• Analyze Problems/Situations and apply problem solving techniques
• Implement system HW/SW Components
• Manage Project Change
• Manage Performance/Capacity
• Perform Project Tracking/Reporting/Delivery Process
• Perform System Performance Tuning
• Perform Root Cause Analysis
• Use System Analysis & Monitoring Tools
• Responsible for On-Call and weekend coverage to provide support and timely resolution
Qualified candidate will have:
• BS or AS in Computer Science or related field
• 4+ years hands on experience in System Administrator Role applying technical skills to support customer services.
• Expert knowledge in MQ Websphere administration and support
• Systems administration in Mainframe Environment
• Secondary skills experience with AS/400, Tandem and OpenVMS
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• On call & weekend coverage required |
