				| Hi,
I want to read a file in the middle of my message flow. I know about MQGet Node to read a message from queue but I want to read a file from a location. Any suggestions?

you're saying FileInput node? or there is a node that we don't know about.
Anyway FileInput is an input node, so it can't be used in the middle.
My first answer is to have another flow that reads all the files and saves them somewhere, DB, MQ an then correlate messages in the main flow at any step you want.

It could be some more ingenious solutions, so please.

I am using MB 7.0.0.1. It does not have a File Read node. Are you talking about some specific fix pack?

Well it's clearly a node you don't know about....

I think this is the third time in 3 days I've seen a comment about titles (all from different people, I'm just commenting on an odd coincidence). Undoubtably someone with a background in group psychology or social dynamics could make a lot out of that....

Anyway, and once again, I'll remind the assembled populace that the titles are linked to the number of posts not the quality. Long time members will know full well we've had people in the past rack up quite impressive post counts without a lot of content.

To the topic in question; if the thought crosses your mind "FileRead node? No such thing. The idiots must mean 'Fileinput' and you can't use that in the middle of a flow", then perhaps taking 5 seconds to type "FileRead" into the InfoCenter would be a wise investment. Despite my wonderful comment about post count not equating to quality, most posters with the count of zpat who are not me don't make that kind of obvious factual error.

 Cases in point:

I have 10 times the post count of mgk. Am I going to contradict him on a WMB issue without being really, really, sure of my facts?

Would anyone contradict kimbert on a parser question???

I have a few days activity on this forum. What I can for sure say is that lancelotlinc on the latest topics had answered just remarks on other people and that he took WM663 class and he is so smart. It's easy to assume where he has that number of posts.

On topic: I don't think that pratuluv has this node on his pallet and still asking this question.

@pratuluv - what version of WMB are you using?

 Thanks.

				| One thing I really enjoy is someone who devotes energetic thought to his or her posts. I can tell that cociu will be a great asset to our discussions here.
I offer a peace pipe and extend a hand of welcome to our forum. Let's reset our view of each other and see what we can do to add value to our technical insights.

He did say in a previous reply that he was on 7.0.0.1,

 mqmatt then added

	| FileRead was added in V7.0.0.2.

 |
ergo, the solution is for the OP to move from 7.0.0.1 to 7.0.0.2.

Every time you reinvent the wheel the more square it gets (anon). If in doubt think and investigate before you ask silly questions.

				| Hi,
Any good reasons why he should not move straight to the latest recommended fix pack level (7.0.0.3)?

				| Thank you all. I will install the fix pack to upgrade to 7.0.0.3 and look for the File Read Node... Hope something like that exist. | |

I know, I know. All this chatter and the OP "hopes" that it exists. Presumably concerned the 7.0.0.3 install will complete, the File tab will open, there'll be no FileRead node & we'll all jump out from behind the screen and shout "April Fool!".

Mind you, given some of his other posts about installaion & conexistence, reading the InfoCenter doesn't seem to be a priority...
