Is there a way we could get the number of messages been put into the MQ local queue between a given timeframe ?

Thanks, |

The method described in the Monitoring manual works quite well.

				Hi Vitor,

Could you please elaborate a little more on this? Which monitoring document? Any links for it. If I get some information on this, I would be grateful to you.

Thanks in advance,

The document titled "Monitoring MQ".

It's in the InfoCenter along with all the other WMQ manuals. If you don't already have it bookmarked, there's a link at the top of this page. _________________ Honesty is the best policy.

				Thanks Vitor.

I do have book marked Infocenter.

When you said monitoring manual, I thought there may be a pdf or another document specifically for monitoring.

I checked in infocenter earlier, but I do not see more information on transactional level monitoring.

Will try to dig out more. I may have missed it. Thanks again. |

You didn't say "transactional" in your original post; you said "timeframe". The method(s) described in the monitoriing manual do timeframe based monitoring (number of given operations like put in a given period) but not the responsiveness of a given unit of work.

You'll need something lower level for that I suspect. _________________ Honesty is the best policy.
