Doubt it.
In the WMQ Intercommunications manual, there is a tree (search for substate, scroll down) that depicts MQ channel states/substates. These all deal with the MCA's perception of the network, irrespective of transport protocol - of which TCP is just one.
The MCA is the middle-ground, the mediation layer, that understands two protocols, the WMQs internal messaging protocol, and the network transport protocol of choice.
In WMQs channel world, there is a presumption that the physical (network) and logical (protocol) are in place and functional. Console error messages (error logs) about channels often contain a TCP error/reason code if the failure was due to (detected by) a TCP protocol failure. _________________ I like deadlines.
