I was told the latest version of MQ is v 7.0.1.2 but the semaphore leak was fixed in the words of the support person in MQ v 7.0.0.2
This is what I was told anyway ... _________________ "Truth is ... grasping the virtually unconditioned",

By the way, which is your version of MQ? did you look at this apar(efix)?
IC64121
We had to install couple of efixes over the 7.0.1.0/1 in order to avoid qmgr going down /crashing frequently. |

The version I am using is 7.0.0.2
Trying to avoid an upgrade if possible for awhile. _________________ "Truth is ... grasping the virtually unconditioned",

There may well be a fix for leaking semaphores in 7.0.0.2... all of the apars that are included in that level are listed on IBM's website.
There may also be other, fairly similar but not quite the same, semaphore leaks that are NOT fixed until 7.0.1.2... or even later.... |

you can search the semaphore leak problem fixed. I think they have had one fix in 7.0.0.2. |

The interim fix from IBM for MQv7.0.0.2 appears to work. No more semaphore leaks in testing so far. The fix is a replacement module for the amqzlaa0 component module of the MQ server. _________________ "Truth is ... grasping the virtually unconditioned",
