I'd perhaps go a step further; it's better they don't know. In the same way a developer would have input to the data stored in a database, but would leave table & index design to the DBAs _________________ Honesty is the best policy.

Developers also want to know (but don't need to know) the names of queues and other objects.
Many shops tell developers the alias name (QA) of a queue instead of the real name. This abstraction allows for an alias to point to a local queue today, and a remote definition tomorrow. _________________ I like deadlines. I like to wave as they pass by.
