Code:
2009-10-24 12:50:18.080 :: The oldest file required for restart is "S0022967.LOG
2009-10-24 12:50:18.096 :: The oldest file required for recovery is "S0000000.LOG

Well it looks like you do have a problem.
Did you ever run:
Code:
rcdmqimg -l -m TRPSFXPB -t \* all

Because the oldest file for recovery should certainly be something else than S0000000.LOG. I would expect it to be around S0022967.LOG or at least in the vicinity...

Run the record image and let us know what file you get for restart and what file you get for recovery. If the file for recovery hasn't changed (I believe you needed an APAR for rcdmqimg on 5.3 CSD 08 ) open a PMR or just upgrade... to V6 or V7!

you guys are geniuses...!

I logged in with the user that runs the cluster and it worked!

1 last question... what should be the time table of running this script? once a week is enough?

thanks again!

Well yay!

Depends entirely on your transactional volume, i.e. how many logs your queue manager produces.

Ensure that however often you decide to run it, you run the rcdmqimg before the log clearing script (or it's a bit of a waste!).

Note also the comments of my illustrious associate and myself - at some point you need to move the recovery file up. They shouldn't be over 2000 log files apart!

will do... thanks again!

I see that the server creates around 30-40 files a day so i'll run the script once every week.

i created a batch file that will run the rcdmqimg and then the ms0l.

thanks again...
