You may have salmon. Unless you'd care to share in the trout I'm dispensing here...? _________________ Honesty is the best policy.

How do I change the MAXUPROC value.
I suppose it should be at a maximum 64 processes...... |

Speak to your UNIX Admins, it's a setting which falls within their remit. _________________ It's puzzling, I don't think I've ever seen anything quite like this before...and it's hard to soar like an eagle when you're surrounded by turkeys. |

How did you arrive at that number? _________________ Honesty is the best policy.

I think it was 'simple' maths...

Cut the already too low figure by half, and see it it fails twice as fast _________________ It's puzzling, I don't think I've ever seen anything quite like this before...and it's hard to soar like an eagle when you're surrounded by turkeys. |

On AIX the default limits for all classes of connections are:
Optimum 63
Maximum 64
Number of agents 500 |

Once more, and with feeling...
MAXUPROC = MAXimum number of User PROCesses
So why are you focussing on connections? _________________ It's puzzling, I don't think I've ever seen anything quite like this before...and it's hard to soar like an eagle when you're surrounded by turkeys. |

If you're not going to read the responses, there's no point people trying to help.

Be sure to include the output from the mqconfig script with the PMR so they can tell you to raise MAXUPROC as well. _________________ Honesty is the best policy.
