While installing MQ in your local windows machine you have to make sure that you install the MQ Client libraries.

A point previously pointed out by s.miller.

This used to fail with a big error message with earlier versions or rfhutil / MQ but it seems to be the case that it now fails silently.

May be not so silently but just in a different manner, and with a different error message... Don't want to elaborate much more as I don't have a V7 installation yet.

About installation on Windows... I never went the default route for the install because it did not install the Java client or JMS client. So I would have checked the client anyways...

the behaviour described in these quotes sounds silent (or at least very very quiet ) and dont seem to indicate an error has ocurred:

Quote:

5. Loaded an XML-File (now "09.14.38 440 bytes read from file C:\test\RouteTrue.xml" is displayed)
6. pressed Write QUEUE - nothing happened. No output message, no message putted in desired queue.

and....

Quote:

Ok - I just started rfhutilc with my Batch, entered the QUEUE by hand (there are already some messages on the QUEUE) and pressed Read Q

Nothing happens in the output field expect that Queue Depth and Data Size displayed "0".

Change HOST to the IP address (or IP name) of your queue manager.

Change 1414 to the port number of the MQ listener on that queue manager.

I know this is obvious but sometimes people take manuals too literally.
