We are using 6.0.2.
If we use XMLNSC then, then MRM won't be involved.
So neither will the default Date and related format issue.

We will continue to lobby our managers to fund a 6.1 upgrade

Persuaded the user to always send all of their dates in the same format (yyyy-MM-dd'T'HH:mm:ss ZZZ which conforms to the xs:date format) and now all is well.
