Why did you change HBINT? Not using defaults should have a reason.
Please correct if I'm wrong.
If HBINT is 0 or the client isn't waiting on a MQGET, the connection is idle.
If there is a firewall between, it is's my favorite, even if an admin said all is fine an nothing happend. _________________ Gunter Jeschawitz

Saying nothing happened to the firewall isn't good enough. The firewall may well have not had any errors, or been recycled, but it could be set up to disconnect after 1 hour and therefore appear to be fine.
My hat goes on the "firewall" peg and will remain there until they prove to me that all is well and that the port isn't being disconnected by the firewall.....that is after all what they are supposed to do
