EDIT: Although admittedly I should have left off the '...and therefore 'killing' them is different...' portion

I (with my ability to see the glass half empty) believed your post could have been read as advice to grep & kill all WMQ processes by a poster sufficiently inexperienced in this area to be asking advice. I had a flashback to a poster who'd attempted to resolve a similar problem in a similar way, and was experiencing some ongoing difficulty. My advice to the person concerned (you know who you are) ended up in his signature.

No problem...I sometimes shoot from the lip , and therefore need the error of my ways pointed out.

Since i ran out of time in this discussion.

I searched in net and found few process like amqhasmx amqharmx amqzllp0 amqzlaa0 amqzxma0 needs to killed and i killed it. Cleared the shared memory. i started the queue manager again. Now everything is fine.now..

Please concentrate how to help in resolving the issues rather than twisting the discussion unnecessarily. Please....................... Please...

Thanks to all.

You were given the answer by Vitor, and within reasonable time. Double-posting didn't help you...

Hi

Is it a queue manager used for Broker, Config Manager on windows? Or there are more then one queue manager on single server?

if yes

Check FDC...if FDC is there and related to shared memory then increased the shared memory of your server to resolve this error.

Best Regards,
Aditya A

I think giving you the reference in the documentation, and discussing the need to cancel processes in the correct order, very relevant and not a "twisting" of the discussion at all.

It's also worth pointing out that this is a volunteer forum, and all postings are subject to the time constraints of our "real" jobs.

If you have an urgent issue, you should contact IBM via the PMR process, as they are better placed to respond quickly.
