Wait a minute. His installation is all wrong.
A) broker on AIX => version 6.0.0.1 (upgrade to 6.0.0.5)
B) Config mgr on AIX => Version 6.x
C) Toolkit 5.x on windows ????
You cannot mix and match versions like this.
Toolkit 6.x will work with a broker in a previous version (5.x) but the Toolkit 5.x only works with 5.x
Make sure the config mgr you are trying to attach to is the one on AIX.
This means the qmgr for the configmgr is on AIX.

The error description you posted talks about version 5.
So either you did install the version 5 Toolkit, or you looked up the error in the wrong place, or the description of that error has somehow not been updated to use the version 6 naming.
Regardless.
When the Toolkit pops up the dialog box that says it can't create the Domain Connection or otherwise can't connect... it will have a Details button in that dialog box.
The details hiding behind that details button will tell you why the connection can't be established. _________________ I am *not* the model of the modern major general. |

The below mess is from the derby.log (Configuration manager log file)

You shouldn't be looking at the derby log.
Any relevant information about the start up of the Configuration Manager will be logged in the system log on the Configuration Manager machine.
You appear to be having two entirely separate problems, and we can't keep them straight.
You started this thread off with a problem about a BIP0915E.
Now you seem to be talking about a BIP0889E.
The first thing to do is confirm that the Configuration Manager has started correctly, and the ConfigMgr queue manager is working correctly. _________________ I am *not* the model of the modern major general. |

If you are trying to run 32-bit AIX and V6 of MQ, also make sure that the /etc/inittab program "cfg64" is enabled and running.
If this is commented out, the 0509-036 error about trying to run a 64-bit program on a 32-bit OS will happen. |
