We have installed MQ V5.3 with CSD13 on AIX v5.3, little bit concerned as to whether it's a 32-bit or 64-bit MQ. How do I confirm it's 32-bit MQSeries? I think it's a 32-bit MQ (I don't see any directories with 64). Is there any command or log or readme file that I can look to see whether it's 32-bit or 64-bit.

Any ideas?

Michael, Excellent Answer!!!

My question was on MQ V5.3 making it 64-bit (I know v6 is 64-bit). Since MQ 5.3 supports both 64/32 bit applications, I was wondering there is a way you can make your MQ v5.3 queue manager as a 64-bit component. MQ Software V5.3 is a 32-bit, I am not aware if IBM provides 64-bit MQ v5.3 software.

Let me know if you know more.

Thanks |

there is no 64-bit 5.3 QM on AIX, so if you want a 64-bit QM you need to go to V6, on AIX you can run in 32-bit kernel mode, but still need 64-bit hardware to do that...

hope this helps... _________________ Michael
