Why does everybody expect the excellent tool MO71 to do everything possible ever thought of?

To export from a queue to a file (and vicky-verky), why don't you use the equally-excellent command line tools (developed by Paul Clarke again, what a surprise ) like "Q" and "QLOAD" - they're support packs like MO71..... |

				| I am trying to export from a queue on AS400. I thought it would be easier using MO71, as i can run it from my desktop. Do you know if its possible, if yes how?? |

Any tool that can export messages and can run as a client application can run on your desktop and talk to an AS/400 qmgr.

It sounds like people are trying to tell you that the MO71 tool can not export messages.

Since MO71 is a category 2, you can't open a PMR for assistance with it, but you can of course contact the author directly.

Or you can go back and re-read all of the other suggestions in this thread for other tools that will run on your desktop, connect as a client to an AS400 qmgr and "export" messages.

If you really felt like it, you could even download the trial of MQVisualEdit or MQVisualBrowse from CapitalWare and use that. _________________ I am *not* the model of the modern major general. |

Why is it when given a perfectly acceptable and free solution, people prefer to repeat the question?

Oh well, I had better repeat the answer.

By changing the size at the top of the message window to fit the message size.... as indicated in the read only field below it ... and pressing refresh _________________ MQ & Broker admin |
