Hi Vitor,
In our project, If some error occurs, the prod team will look into the log files and handles the error. We dont want to give access to other locations except to log files. So, We want to change the location of log files of both MB and MQ from C: to E:.

Thanks

The locations that can be set in qm.ini are NOT human readable Log files that a Production team would be able to use to resolve an error.

The human readable log files are in a fixed location - <mq-install root>/errrors and <mq-install root>/qmgrs/<queue manager>/errors.

FIXED, unchangeable.

Why not just set a map to the directory and restrict the permissions? Or give them a script to run that copies out the files to a particular directory?

AFAIK, and from what I can remember, the queue manager attributes and log file location on Windies was set within the registry and the qm.ini file disappeared long before v6 - but happy to be corrected
