a s far as I can see it is either his code or there is a setting after the compute node to create new parameters etc. thus erasing his priority

And (as I've said) his code looks a lot like mine. And most subsequent nodes copy the headers unmodified by default. You can't even set priority on an MQOutput node in 2.1 AFAIK.

It's odd. But I think I've said that aready.

If the MQOutput node is set to default instead of setall shouldn't that be enough to foil his attempt?

I would have expected that to foil any attempt to supply context information rather than priority.

If that's not the case, please keep it to yourself. Mine are set to default and seem to be working. The last thing I need is for them to hear they shouldn't be working - they might stop......

Do you mean to say that yours are set to "pass all" which is the default when creating the node or that you set them to "default" like when you need to create an MQMD from scratch?

Already involved in some paranoid checking here!!

The MQOutput nodes I'm using are, as you suspected set to the default for the node, which is Pass All....

A rapid and slightly unscientific test confirms that actually setting them to Default still allows the Priority to be set within ESQL. Further experimentation in progress...
