i shouldn't have to do that. if i have to then it must be fixed, that sure sounds like a bug.

the mqsicreateaclentry for individual users seem to have an option -a that ignores the workstaion information.

i would expect there be a similar way to do this when defining ACLs for groups.

i guess i need to open a PMR.

It is not logical to run your ConfigMgr on AIX, given your requirements.

All of your users are defined on Windows. All of your groups are defined on Windows.

If you simply don't want to pay for a windows server license (you don't have to pay for a Broker license for ConfigMgr as far as I know), then you can run your configmgr on Linux and use PAM to configure the Linux machine to authenticate it's users against what I assume is your ActiveDirectory user repository.
