Just an opinion: If I were you I would never run the wmq and wmb with root user. I think it would be better when the different components belongs to a specific group or user.

Try creating a broker id that is part of the mqm/mqbrkrs/db2 (which you don't have) group and using that.

When you run with this broker_id, I believe you must specify that id on the create.

This worked for me no problem - I don't like to run this stuff as root.

Doing that, do you still get the same issue?
