Answer these questions and I can help.

- What is the IPAddress of the server that hosts the QM11 queue manager ?

 - What is the port number, where you have a listener for the QM11 queue manager ?

 - Is the QM11 queue manager up and running ?

 - Is the listener up and running (runmqlsr) ?

First of all, do what JT said.

Listen, there's no going around this - you *must* read the manuals - I don't know if you realize you are having trouble with the most basic configuration in MQ-lore, and by investing just a few hours on reading the Intercommunication manual, everything will be made clear and easy; for example, this specific problem should have taken you ~5 minutes to solve. Make the effort to read the manuals, or search the site for 2058, I guarantee great benefits.

(p.s I don't mean to be testy, but what you've got there is an odd signature at best...) |

Your port number is not the default (1414).

Are you sure you have a listener on port 1114 for QM11 ? |

Make sure ur port number is listening. cosz its a crucial thing to be happen otherwise ther comunication wont happen and u wil get the same error. _________________ C it ..... U will GET it. |

I will check it with the manuals

One thing i am not understood that where i have to run the command amqscnxc amqscnxc [-x ConnName [-c SvrconnChannelName]] [QMgrName]

i.e on the server side or client side. I have read in some site asProgram "amqscnxc.exe" is used to test general "client -> server" connectivity View this program's command line arguments like so...

<sr> C:\mqclient\BIN

<ur> amqscnxc -?

<sr> amqscnxc [-x ConnName [-c SvrconnChannelName]] [QMgrName]

I have run this command on the client side, but i am not having this amqscnxc.exe file in my bin,my system is win 2000 professional,in this what i have to do?

I specially thank JL for his suggestions and the other members in the discussion. I am new to MQ series and i am interested to do the MQ Certification.I request all of the members to help me out in this regard

how to prepare for the exam and basically on which topics i have to concentrate, when the exam will be conducted and how to approach

Waiting for ur valuable suggestions . _________________ Thanks in Advance

amqscnxc may be installed in the samples/bin instead. Tools/c/samples/bin/ _________________ I am *not* the model of the modern major general. |
