Unless you really have to use CVS I rate SVN a lot nicer and stable product and it also integrates very nicley into eclipse and the Broker toolkit

AFAIK no I don't think it is although it is in IBMs RAD and RSA product again AFAIK but I have been using it for both Broker and personal developments and found it a lot easier to use, that the gui tools avail for it make it easy to use (tortoise svn) there are a few version report tools etc (see the tigris site) and altho there are certainly pros and cons with both systems as yopu would expect the general concensus on the net has been that SVN tops CVS. but also to be fair IBM prob won't support CVS as a product as such they will only say that the plugin which comes with eclipse anyways is "supported" but i would imagine there is little actual support only perhaps a token effort.
Try both they co-exist from a plugin point of view and setup for both is completely seperate. |
