Hello everybody,
We query another company’s database using MQSeries (Sent the data in and get the data out). Is there a way to capture/see the data that we are sending and receiving through MQSeries? Are there any tools available for this?
We have oracle database and power builder front end and querying a mainframe.
I have no control on the data that is being sent and received as we are using a vendor’s software application.
Any help is greatly appreciated.

Ask the vendor to produce an audit trail of records they send and receive. _________________ I am *not* the model of the modern major general. |

Then why do you need to see the data? What is the point of what you are trying to achive?
You could always use mirrorq and create a duplicate queue but again....why? Is there a problem with the data? |

Thank you for the replies.
Our vendor is not coperating to give us an audit trial of records that they send and receive.
I am a newbie to MQSeries and our MQSeries is hosted by another company.
If I can capture the data that is being sent and received on the server, this will help us to trouble shoot the problem (if any) without contacting our vendor and the the other company. Basically I am sitting in the middle and waiting for the answers from these two companies who is sending what.
Please suggest us a utility that can capture the data that is sent and received on the server.
Thanks again |

So you don't have a local MQ install, with a local queue manager?
You're going to have to do something very low level, then.
If the vendor isn't cooperating with your business requirements... then what are you paying them for? _________________ I am *not* the model of the modern major general. |
