Hi all.
Anyone here that knows why it is only the AIX and Win version of q (ma01) that is recompiled in the latest tar file (from Nov 2005)? The other files have dates and filesizes identical with the previous version (from Jun 2004).
This is bad for me as I need the "-L" option that is in the new version. I have a hard time believing that there is a technical reason for it. _________________ "Always code as if the guy who ends up maintaining your code will be

I suspect that the author of MA01 knows why this is so. _________________ I am *not* the model of the modern major general. |

Yes of course.
Problem is that the README file only has his name (Paul Clarke). No contact info at all. And as it is a category 2 supportpac (aka as-is supportpacs), I cannot file a support case with IBM.
I was just hoping someone here know the answer, or that the author might read these forums. _________________ "Always code as if the guy who ends up maintaining your code will be

Sorry it's taken so long but a new version of MA01 is now available. This should give you the -L parameter. Hopefully all version of Q on all the platforms are now the same.
Sorry about no contact information, this wasn't deliberate. If you did a search on "Paul Clarke" and MQ you'd get a few hits _________________ Paul Clarke
