Hello!
Page set 3 is full at z/OS qmgr. I wanted to change stgclass of SYSTEM.COMMAND.INPUT queue with command:
ALTER QLOCAL(SYSTEM.COMMAND.INPUT) STGCLASS(an other class)
CSQU085E MQPUT failed for queue SYSTEM.COMMAND.INPUT. MQCC=2 MQRC=2192
I stopped command server but I was not able to alter it.
Does anybody have idea what to do?

This is one of those problems where you can't alter the thing you need to alter by using the thing that needs altered!
When you tried to use a job to issue the ALTER QLOCAL command, the way it sent that command to the command server was to put a message on the Command Server queue - which is the queue you are trying to fix. This therefore failed.
Using the console (SDSF) meant you were sending a subsystem command direct to the MSTR address space and not via the command queue, thus you were successful.
Hope that makes sense.
Cheers,

I was caught by this snafu in a past job. For queue manager stability, this queue (and other SYSTEM queues) should be in a STGCLASS/PSID that cannot be filled by application or other queues. _________________ Glenn |
