I feel again we may have to agree to disagree, but on this case, where the site has already bourne the expense of HACMP (and therefore committed to AIX), has already developed the experience to administer it, will be using the additional features it provides with WMQ (which MI does not) and where the suggestion was made without knowledge of what else is in the software stack under HACMP then it wasn't reasonable. _________________ Honesty is the best policy.

I agree it wouldn't be reasonable to progress with the suggestion if HACMP was being used to fail over other software. _________________ Never let the facts get in the way of a good theory. |
