you will fail means that the application will receive MQCC_FAILED with ReasonCode about log space.

The queue manager lives on.

Each message is atomic, so the circular logs can successfully wrap before all msgs are put.

Bruce, then in which cases MQ will go down because of space issues?. When we dont have seperate file systems for /var/mqm/errors and errors fills up the /var/mqm space..what happens in this case?. The Qmgr will go down because of space issues, correct?.

Some research on your part is in order.

May I suggest that you search through the WMQ Messages manuals (for z/OS, for midrange) looking for keywords like 'insufficient' or 'storage' or 'disk' or 'space.'
