Well - guess the name has changed.
In my T42 I have MQ v 7.0.0.1
and I see "IBM Key Management" icon
inside the Websphere MQ folder ...
Guess it is all the same.
Am I right ? |

Thanks, Sam !
Hope you have done/used this sequence before !
With this and the manuals (to fill some [own] blanks)
I can try to setup a SSL channel.
Again, thanks. |
We have followed the above sequence on Unix servers and it should also work on Windows. The Redbook in Chapter 2 gives step by step explanation how to create the above steps with ikeyman well documented. May take half hour to try it out and test. |

You will get the CA certificates from certificate providers like Verisign.
If you dont have CA cert yet and you want to try out on your own on your Windows machine, you can create a self signed certificate in the following way(in PROD you should have an external CA cert):
Create a directory for Self signed certificate: (you can use this directory to sign the certificate request created on QMgr)
1. Create the keydb/
2. Create the certificate.
3. Extract the certificate which is created in step: 2.
Thanks. |

Or use OpenSSL to create a full Root CA and Intermediate CA chain...and Sam, why not edit your post rather than copy-and-paste your previous post with additions. _________________ It's puzzling, I don't think I've ever seen anything quite like this before...and it's hard to soar like an eagle when you're surrounded by turkeys. |
