attempting to call a ws hosted on our intranet on a unix web server from a broker (5.0 fp8) on windows xp. Using httprequest node.
Error terminal wired to trace node - exception tree says "An error occurred whilst performing a socket operation: getsockopt" and "No connection could be made because the target machine actively refused it."
the ws is on port 8080 - http listener port on my machine is as installed i.e. 7080
i get a response back from the ws when i drop url in my Internet Explorer
Any ideas? |

Is your internet explorer running on the same machine as the broker? _________________ I am *not* the model of the modern major general. |

i was told earlier there wasn't any authorization expected - but was not entirely convinced by the answer.
i have the wsdl in front of me but can't see anything there. How does one tell if ws does expect authorization?
unfortunately the webservice is down at present and the support staff are mostly gone
i'll continue the investigation next week - thanks for your help so far |

It may not be the service that expects the authorization, it may be the server.
What does a telnet to the port show?
Is it possible that the service was down when you tried to call it? _________________ I am *not* the model of the modern major general. |

I have given up on this WS for now as it is too often down so please close this post.
However I have been developing a flow to access a WS that found on the web. See post titled : 'wbimb httprequest 500 Internal Server Error'. |
