Hi everyone,

my task is to install an ACE 12 development environment on Linux.

I can log into the Linux command line/shell and "startx" ("Linux Desktop") does not work.

xclock works though: It opens the clock-application in an app(let) (from the Linux command line). Something which would also be interesting / desirable for us and for the ACE 12 Toolkit to do...

Can I start "just" the (graphical(!)) application(s), which I need (without a "(Linux) Desktop Environment")?:

- ACE 12 Toolkit
- IBM MQ Explorer
- others...

We use Oracle Virtual Box "on a server" / server-side (current versions: 6 / 7) and RHEL 7.9[/u]
