The reason i'm posting this on general forum is due to i have no logs or errors to backup the case so just asking casually.
Has any one experienced/'ing any known issues with ACE 12.
We have a file input configured to use SFTP and it has lot of traffic, some times a file we read turns out empty and if we ask source team they will say they have sent file with full data not an empty file.
I have logged the isEmpty flag from the local environment and it says true whenever there is an empty file.
so is it source creating empty file first and writing data later, create and write instead of write, stage, push to sftp.
or are there any known problems with SFTP in ACE 12?
No rebuke please... |

hi...
With regards to known issues better check the ACE 12 fixpack list...
On why the flow at times ends up with empty files how exactly are you ensuring that the flow is not consuming inflight files, i.e the ones the source app is in the process of writting data but not completed yet?
You could use the approach of source app using a specific file extension whlist the file is being written (eg: *.tmp) and rename to the real file extension once the file is fully ready. This will ensure that the flow will always consum fully completed files |

Hi Abhi, i do not feel it as product issue, I belive the source is not miainting the file lock while writing the file.
Source is using some kind of script to generate the files to SFTP. even i suggested source to use .tmp ext while writing files and rename to actual extension after complete.
it is only heppning for one of module so i think it is mostly source issue. |
