Never configured MQ MI on Windows and always on RH, other Unix flavours and using NFS4.

One of the Customer this time wants this on Windows Server 2019.
Not very clear on the requirement of Multi Instance.

QUESTION - Is NFS4 supported on Windows MQ Multi Instance?

The following link is not very clear on the requirement

https://www.ibm.com/docs/en/ibm-mq/9.0?topic=managers-create-multi-instance-queue-manager

Says -"
Quote:
The shared log and data directories cannot be stored on a FAT, or an NFSv3 file system. For multi-instance queue managers on Windows, the networked storage must be accessed by the Common Internet File System (CIFS) protocol used by Windows networks."

Yes NFS4 is supported. I thought the text was clear enough. While NFS4 is supported NFS3 is not.
However most access id done in Windows via CIFS (uncpaths and such). The quote states that this is supported.

Enjoy
