I have been working with TXseries for AIX for a number of years and read with some interest that COBOL-IT, a fork of the GnuCOBOL/OpenCOBOL compiler is now supported (with DB2). Unfortunately since Microfocus has acquired them, the compiler is not readily available on AIX.

Does anyone have experience or information as to whether the GnuCOBOL/OpenCOBOL compliler (a different fork from COBOL-IT) is also supported? Any info would be appreciated.

Thanks.

And thanks for this forum as any hands on community for this and these products seems very absent on the net.
