Hi

I am trying to update ssl cert for MQ 7.1 (I am on RHEL 5). I am following the steps https://www.ibm.com/support/knowledgecenter/SSFKSJ_7.5.0/com.ibm.mq.sec.doc/q012780_.htm
When I try to run

Code:
runmqckm -cert -receive -file filename -db filename -pw
password   -format ascii

I don't get any response back!

Also when I run
Code:
runmqckm -cert -list -db qmp1.kdb -stashed

I get
Code:
The input file 'qmp1.sth' could not be found.
Check the database path.

So my questions:
1. What am I missing?
2. Where can I find instructions for 7.1 cert renewal?
3. Where are the logs for these commands stored?
4. Why is the sth file missing?
Thanks

Not to state the obvious, but you appear to be missing the stash file.

You appear to provide a link to the steps already. There will be no major differences between V7.5 and V7.1.

I don't believe there are logs for these commands - they write errors to the screen usually.

That, unfortunately, is a question you will have to answer. If you hadn't asked it, I would have asked you.

The knowledege center page appears to be poorly formatted. You have a command displayed over two lines, that you should really just issue as a single line. Your question also has it over two lines so I assume that is how you issued it. Could you try again with it all on one line? Also presumably, that is not the actual command you issued? You provide a -db value of qmp1.kdb?

A queue manager would not be able to run without the stash file - are you certain you are using the kdb file that the queue manager is using? The sth file of the same name (as indicated by the error) would be in the same place or the queue manager would fail to open it. Is it possible you are using the wrong kbd file here?

Cheers,
Morag
