As the title says, can we establish (or rather is it recommended) to establish jdbc connectivity to a db2 database without using a configurable service. Something like establishing connectivity using plain java?

The requirement here is to avoid the need to update the security identity (used in configurable service) and restarting the EG in case password to db changes. Program will retrieve the updated password from the portal periodically and update the connection.

This is for iib v10.0.0.20.
