I added a CHLAUTH record with USERSRC(NOACCESS) WARN(NO) and this works fine. It blocked the connection and wrote a CSQX777E "Channel has been blocked" message.
Since I didn't really want to block at this time, I just want to verify my rule, I then set WARN(YES). It now allows the connection, but no warning message appears to be written to my z/OS Channel Initiator's joblog. I was expecting to see a CSQX787I "Channel would have been blocked" message. What am I missing?
SET CHLAUTH('*') TYPE(ADDRESSMAP) ADDRESS('199.47.138.*') USERSRC(NOACCESS) ACTION(replace) warn(YES)
