Hi All,

We have developed a tool for monitoring System Resource usage (on MQv9), based on the new model of publishing resource usage based on topics.

The IBM documentation says, that for using the usage statistics based on the subscribed topics we need to enable Statistics & Accounting (S&A) on the Queue Manager.
However, I have noticed that even without the S&A enabled on the Queue Manager I continue to receive the Usage statistics.

There is a article on the same topic, which says that pre-v9 statistics are also published to topics, but it does not attach any pre-condition that S&A should be enabled.

Can someone please clarify, if the requirement of enabling S&A is only required for preV9 MQ setup?

Regards
Saurabh Ghosh

I'm unaware why stats and accounting should need to be enabled to use the published statistics. I'll have a little dig into where this statement in the docs originated with the intention of getting it removed.

It appears this statement was added in error, and it will be removed from the docs.

I'm one of the MQ developers in Hursley, performance and monitoring are two of my specialist areas.
I won't be making this doc change myself.

But you will be telling a doc writer so that they can make the change. i.e. the OP does not have to do anything further about this doc change himself?
